Polish Tanks a' comin!

Polish Tanks on the March: Here Come Armor and Alpha

Today Wargaming are setting off the first Supertest of Polish progression vehicles, namely the 50TP Tyszkiewicza (the Tier IX heavy) and the 60TP Lewandowskiego (the Tier X heavy). These tanks are quite compact for their class, with excellent protection and above average alpha. Their speed may be lacking, but with a protection like this you don’t need to hurry in battle. Being the topmost vehicle, the 60TP Lewandowskiego has great all-around armor and a large caliber gun dealing 750 points of alpha damage (they have implemented both 130mm and 152mm versions and will choose between them later). The drawbacks of 60TP are mediocre penetration and limited mobility (due to a low specific power of 10–13hp per ton of weight). This tank will play as a compact ‘superheavy’ slowly pushing through enemy defense thanks to its ability to block lots of damage, and its high alpha.

The 50TP Tyszkiewicza resembles its bigger brother: not fast, well armored in all places, and with an alpha that is impressive for a heavy. A single shot from its 130mm gun will deal around 560 points of damage; the test will help us define the precise amount. As the 50TP Tyszkiewicza is a Tier IX vehicle, its mobility and protection parameters are lower than those of the 60TP Lewandowskiego. The current stats for the top Polish heavies are mostly reference marks spelling out the gameplay role, yet they allow for very comfortable play. They are going to try different values for alpha and also for mobility and targeting parameters. After the test the stats for the 50TP and the 60TP may change; we’ll look at the data and the feedback from you and introduce adjustments if any are needed.
