To Gamble, Or Not To Gamble? That is the burning question. 200 boxes opened, contents and opinion.

So, starting from December 9, 2020 at 07:00 CET through January 11, 2021 at 07:00 CET (UTC+1), Large Boxes with gold, fancy decorations, rare Premium tanks, and much more will be ready for you to buy!

As always, there’s no way you can lose AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT MIND SET, ACCEPT THE ITEMS YOU RECEIVE WHEN PURCHASING—all the items inside are greater or equal to the price of the Box in gold. This is where the contentious issues of gambling occurs. As always, I say its your money spend it how you will, however if you are buying the boxes expecting to win a tier 8 premium tank then you are gambling your money, AS THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE. My other question should be, why are the special vehicles not available in the premium shop to purchase? Even at a higher amount than normal, that way everyone would have the opportunity to receive these tanks, and remove the GAMBLING FOR TANKS ISSUE.

Each Large Box contains four goodies, three of which never change. These are:

250 gold
A Level V decoration of the respective Collection
A random-level decoration of the respective Collection

The fourth treat? It’s always a surprise! Each Box has a chance of dropping WoT Premium Account time, credits, or even more gold (on top of the guaranteed 250 gold). But if luck’s on your side, you might find a formidable Tier VIII Premium tank, a Tier III–VI vehicle, or a spectacular 3D style!

Choose a Box from one of the four different Collections:

The basic cost of three Large Boxes is the same as last year and will be around € 6. The more Large Boxes a bundle contains, the greater your discount will be.

The most sought after are the Tier VIII Premium tanks, including two brand-new vehicles. The Box MAY contain one Tier VIII Premium tank from the following list:

NEW! VIII Bisonte C45 , an Italian heavy tank with modified auto reloading mechanics. Available for the first time in the game, this unique brawler will certainly be a valuable addition to your tank collection.
NEW! VIII GSOR 1008 , the first-ever British tank destroyer with a four-round autoloader. Its small size and high concealment make it perfect for ambushing. You might receive instead one of the following Tier III–VI Premium vehicles:

M4A1 FL 10, a brand-new Tier VI French medium tank with an oscillating turret and four-round autoloader.
VI T78 , a Tier VI American tank destroyer boasting a compact size and decent mobility.
V Matilda Black Prince , a Tier V British medium tank with a high rate of fire and an accurate gun.
III Pz.Kpfw. T 15 , a Tier III German light tank with a great view range and good survivability.
III M22 Locust , a Tier III American light tank with excellent mobility and a fast-firing gun.

All vehicles come with a free Garage slot.

If you didn’t get a Tier VIII vehicle, then with a bit of luck, you might find another item inside the Box—a brand-new 3D style* for one of the following Tier X vehicles:

Prior to opening any boxes, my account had:

· 936 days premium time

· 8950 gold

· 2272089 credits

I had 50 of each style of box (200 in total) however to work out the best price for 200 boxes I’ve broken the cost down to 2 x 75 boxes and 2 x 25 boxes. Therefore the best total spend for 200 is:

£239.52

So what did I receive after opening the boxes? Well I’ve broken it down into the four styles of box.

It is worth pointing out to you how many boxes I opened before I received a Premium Reward. 20 boxes for the M4fl10, 35 boxes for the T78, 75 boxes for the Bisconte, 120 boxes for the GSOR and 140 boxes for the ISU 152k.

54200 of the 126150 gold was credited for repeat tanks awarded.

The best way to show the value of “what I won” is to show it as value in gold purchase, premium day purchase, garage slot purchase and gold purchased to convert to credits at 400 creds = 1 gold.

Now comes the maths bit, to purchase the amount of gold required for the credit conversion, premium days, garage slots and physical gold won would be:

So there you can see the boxes are certainly value for money AS LONG AS YOU ARE BUYING THEM FOR WHATEVER YOU GET AND NOT SOMETHING SPECIFIC!

However, I was gambling on getting specific vehicles in my boxes, based on the amount of boxes purchased above, notably the Bisconte and the GSOR:

75 boxes Bisconte £85.55

120 boxes for GSOR £153.97

THAT IS WHAT I WOULD HAVE HAD TO GAMBLE/SPEND TO GET THOSE TANKS FROM MY BOXES!! That is excessive, in my opinion and I’ll be honest I earn a decent amount of money in my job. Like I said before, if they were put on sale in the shop, even for £60 for example, players would buy these instead/as well as the boxes. Win Win for WG.

Its your money, do what you want just think about it before spending folks.
